Understanding Health Care Coverage in Canada while on Maintained Status

In Feb 2022 the term “implied status” was changed to “maintained status: canada.ca

Some provinces have updated their web pages with details about healthcare coverage for those on maintained status, others have not. If you believe you may need to go on maintained status, be prepared. Contact your Provincial Ministry of Health and ask about your coverage. If you are not covered by Provincial Healthcare, you are strongly advised to book private Health Insurance.
