There are many different types of addictions people can have. Listed below are a variety of the most frequently asked about addiction services, please contact I/CAN’s Social Care Advisor if you want support finding information on any others services that are not listed, or if you have any questions about the services that are listed.

 

 

  • If you are experiencing a substance use addiction from drugs or alcohol, find out about supports available Canada wide and in the province or territory you are living in here on Canada.ca Get help with substance use page.

 

 

  • There is an opioid crisis in Canada, it is important to click on the following links to learn more. Fentanyl can be commonly found in drugs like cocaine. Naloxone is a fast-acting drug used to temporarily reverse the effects of opioid overdoses.

In some areas of Canada there are free drug checking centres that will uses machines to analyze samples of certain drugs to check if there are traces of potent substances like fentanyl, benzodiazepines, and LSD in them.
